Responsible for ensuring the highest possible level of operational safety and asset protection across the company, including oversight of the environmental health and safety and DOT program to reduce and control exposures to injury and accident risks, while ensuring operational regulatory compliance with all appropriate municipal, state, and federal regulations.
- Establish and lead Tejas corporate safety strategy and vision
- Drive, manage, and elevate safety and DOT programs and initiatives to “Best in Class” status
- Seen as a thought leader across the organization and the industry on environmental, health, Safety and DOT related activities
- Lead the Safety and DOT department by providing oversight, direction, and mentoring to personnel, as well as establishing and managing the safety budget
- Ensure thorough oversight and management of all incidents, and near miss investigations, including process improvement, corrective actions, and/or preventative measures
- Ensure that all workplace, completions and mixing plant activities follow OSHA and Tejas safety program, and job-specific safety programs
- Manage and analyze safety metrics to identify any trends across the organization; provide corrective actions as needed
- Oversee safety training programs and materials, and provide training to employees as needed
- Stay current, interpret, and advise on applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations for health, safety, environmental and DOT compliance
- Lead the OSHA inspection and conference processes
- Drive an initiative-taking and positive safety culture
- Assists in the administration of workers' compensation program, including working with the insurance carrier, to reduce identified workplace hazards and employee lost time.

- Associates in safety and health or related degree, and/or equivalent experience (BS preferred, MS a plus)
- 10+ years of experience in Safety and Environmental Health with an emphasis in DOT Compliance

- CSP, SHEP, or similar professional certification
- Strong knowledge of construction safety principles, techniques, and methods
- Impeccable understanding and knowledge of OSHA laws, DOT regulations, and policies.
